Call for Papers - Comparative Analysis of Enterprise (Micro) Data Conference
The 2009 Comparative Analysis of Enterprise (Micro) Data (CAED) Conference will be held from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2009, in Tokyo. This will be the 9th CAED Conference and the first one in Asia. Organizing Institutions are the Global COE Program "Research Unit for Statistical and Empirical Analysis in Social Sciences (Hi-Stat)," Hitotsubashi University, and the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). The aim of CAED conferences is to promote scientific research using enterprise micro data.
Call for Papers
CAED invites submissions of papers for its 9th conference in Tokyo on all research
using enterprise micro data. Topics of interest include, but are not limited
to, resource reallocation and adjustment costs, productivity, information and
communication technology, R&D, market competition, exit and entry dynamics,
transition and development, labor issues, environment, corporate governance,
corporate finance, trade, and linked employer-employee analysis. Submissions
should be either a full paper with an abstract of 400-600 words, including a
description of the data used in the analysis, or an extended abstract of
800-1600 words. A strong preference will be given to full papers (even if
preliminary or incomplete) using data from multiple countries and/or from Asian
countries. Authors chosen to present papers at this conference will be notified
by June 1, 2009.

Registration will start in mid-June 2009. The admission fee is free but advance registration is required.

expenses may be available for graduate and doctorate students as well as junior
